Where is God?
Is the Big Bang Theory true or false?
Scientists say that this world came into existence through the Big Bang. But even if we accept that, the question arises: Who brought the Big Bang into existence?
Biology has two theories — Abiogenesis and Biogenesis. According to Biogenesis, living things come only from pre-existing living things.
The Big Bang Theory is only a theory — it has no direct proof.
The principle for determining the truth of any scientific theory is that experiments should be conducted based on the deductions (predictions) of that theory. If repeated experiments produce the same results, then the theory is considered true.
However, in the case of the Big Bang, we cannot do such experiments — it is beyond possibility. Therefore, this theory itself is wrong.
The Creation of the Universe and the Divine Religions
The three divine religions — Judaism, Christianity, and Islam — guide us to believe that this universe was created by Allah (God).
In the Holy Qur’an, which is the word of Allah (God), it is written that the heavens and the earth were joined together, and then We separated them.
In another place, the Qur’an states that We created every living thing from water.
Did humans come into existence from chimpanzees?
According to science, Humans (Homo sapiens) evolved gradually over millions of years from
earlier species of apes
(primates).
We share a common ancestor with
chimpanzees — not that humans came from chimps, but that both species branched off
from a shared ancestor around 6–7 million years ago
But that is not the case.
The Lost Chain Theory
Chimpanzees share only 98% of their genes with humans — not 99%. That is why there is a debate and a theory called “The Lost Chain”, which asks: Where is that one missing gene? So far, that missing link has not been found in the discovered fossil records.
Islam tells us that Allah (God) commanded the angels to bring soil from different parts of the Earth. The angels brought it, and then Allah (God) placed a soul into it. Thus, the first human came into existence.
Because the soil came from different parts of the Earth, human beings have differences in their skin colors.
Islam tells us that Allah (God) commanded the angels to bring soil from different parts of the earth. The angels brought it, and then Allah (God) placed a soul into it. Thus, the first human being came into existence. The reason for the variation in human skin colors is that the soil was taken from different parts of the earth.
The Creation of Hawwa (Eve):
Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) was sent to Paradise, but he felt lonely there. So Allah (God) created Hawwa (Eve) from one of Adam’s ribs (his collarbone). That is why the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said (the meaning of which is): “A woman was created from a crooked rib; if you try to make her completely straight, you will break her, and if you leave her as she is, she will remain crooked.”
What is Islam?
Allah (God) sent prophets and messengers for the guidance of humankind.
Who was the first prophet?
Adam (peace be upon him) was the first prophet.
How many prophets and messengers were sent?
More than one hundred thousand prophets and messengers were sent. They were all human beings but chosen and honored servants of Allah (God).
What was the religion of the prophets and messengers?
All the prophets and messengers followed Islam, because they all called people to the oneness of Allah (God), forbade polytheism and idol worship, and conveyed God’s commandments to His servants.
Where was the first House of God (place of worship)?
The First House of God:
The first House of God was in the city of Makkah, in the region of Arabia.
Who was Muhammad (peace be upon him)?
Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in the city of Makkah in Arabia. He was the last prophet and messenger of Allah (God). When he reached the age of forty, Allah (God) sent the angel Jibreel (Gabriel) to him with revelation.
What was the revelation sent to Muhammad (peace be upon him)?
The revelation sent to Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the Holy Qur’an. The Qur’an calls to the belief in the Oneness of God (Tawheed), speaks about resurrection after death, and the accountability of one’s deeds before God. The Qur’an is the Word of Allah (God) Himself — its words are spoken by Him.
Where is God?
In the Holy Qur’an, Allah (God) says (the meaning of which is): After creating the heavens and the earth, He established Himself above the Throne.
There are seven heavens, and above the seventh heaven is the Throne of Allah (God), upon which He is established in a manner befitting His majesty.
Muslim scholars say: It is known that God is above the Throne, but how He is there — this we do not ask, for such questioning is an innovation and leads to misguidance.
When we pray to God, we raise our hands toward the sky.
What is the event of Mi‘raj (Ascension)?
Where did it take place?
When Muhammad (peace be upon him) was taken on the Mi‘raj (the Night Journey and Ascension), he was shown the heavens, Paradise, and Hell. This event is also evidence that God is exalted above His creation, upon His Throne.
